John & Sherry Poff gave their lives to Jesus Christ in 1998 and answered God’s call into full-time ministry the following year. Before coming to South Dakota in 2015 they pastored churches in Missouri and Colorado. While in Colorado they met Cecelia Spotted Bear who encouraged them to enter Indian Mission work, which they did in 2003. From that time forward they were involved in one way or another with Native work in South Dakota, before finally moving here.

In the fall of 2024, they were called to reopen and restart the Following Christ Ministry church in Mobridge, SD. Their plans, hopes and desires are to see the Lord’s work to be as diverse as the population of this beautiful city.

They welcome anyone and everyone to visit for coffee and donuts (among other goodies) each Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. They invite all to take time out of busy their schedules to attend Sunday evening worship service at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday evening Bible Study at 6:30 p.m.
